Auditions Open for Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley at Theatre Huntsville

Step into the world of Jane Austen with auditions for Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley! Set in the beloved world of Pride and Prejudice, this charming holiday sequel follows two often-overlooked sisters as they navigate romance, family expectations, and the possibility of finding their own voices at Pemberley during Christmastime.

Filled with wit, warmth, and sparkling humor, this heartwarming comedy is perfect for performers who love clever dialogue, rich characters, and a touch of Regency-era holiday magic. Auditions will be held August 2–3, 2026, and we welcome performers of all experience levels to join us for this delightful holiday production.

  • GEORGIANA DARCY

    Female, 20s–30s
    Thoughtful, intelligent, and artistic. Though shy and reserved, Georgiana possesses a quiet strength and deep emotional intelligence. Struggles with expectations placed upon her as a wealthy young woman while longing for independence and self-expression. A romantic lead with warmth, vulnerability, and subtle humor.

    KITTY BENNET

    Female, 20s–30s
    Bright, funny, energetic, and eager to step out of her sisters’ shadows. Kitty has matured considerably and is discovering her own confidence and opinions. Socially observant with excellent comedic opportunities, but also capable of genuine emotional depth.

    THOMAS O’BRIEN

    Male, 20s–30s
    A thoughtful, progressive young man with intellectual curiosity and sincerity. Kind-hearted and genuine rather than flashy or traditionally dashing. Challenges conventional ideas and encourages Georgiana to imagine a broader future for herself.

    HENRY GREY

    Male, 20s–30s
    Charming, polished, and socially adept. The “ideal” gentleman on paper — respectable, confident, and well-connected. Can be played as earnest and kind or slightly performative. Strong comedic instincts a plus.

    NOTE:

    The roles of Elizabeth Darcy, Fitzwilliam Darcy, Jane Bingley and Charles Bingley are already cast. They will be played by the actors from the previous Pemberley shows.

  • The third installment of the Christmas at Pemberley series, follows Georgiana and Kitty, the often overlooked siblings. Georgiana Darcy is an accomplished pianist but wary of romance. Kitty Bennet is a bright-eyed optimist and a perfect best friend. After years of being overshadowed by their older siblings, these two younger sisters are ready for their own adventures in life and love.

  • Rehearsals will likely start in September 2026.

    Tech week will be November 8-12, 2026. All actors are needed in the evenings during this week. There are no conflicts allowed.

  • Kitty & Georgiana will run November 13-22, 2026 (complete schedule here) at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

    There are also school shows planned for the mornings of November 18 & 19, 2026.

    Actors must be available for ALL dates.

    Actors must also be available all evenings November 8-12, 2026 for Tech Week.
