How to Be a Stage Manager Workshop
How to Be a Stage Manager is a two-hour introductory workshop designed to build a strong foundation in stage management.
Learn the essential tools every stage manager needs, what your role looks like throughout the rehearsal process, and how to keep a production running smoothly during performances.
Whether you're brand new or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is a great place to start.

Sewing Workshop
Join Theatre Huntsville for a free sewing workshop.
Learn how to sew a custom-fit circle skirt in this fun, hands-on workshop.
Participants will learn to take measurements, cut fabric, construct a waistband, and finish a hem while creating a wearable garment to take home.
What to bring:
Sewing machine
Fabric for your circle skirt if you have specific material you’d like to use otherwise you can choose from our stockpile
Theatre Huntsville will provide all other materials - elastic, thread, etc.
Set Load Out - 1776
Join Theatre Huntsville as we pack everything up for 1776 at the Von Braun Center Playhouse and take it back to our Scene Shop.
WHAT WE’RE DOING:
Break down the set
Pack up all props, costumes, and other things
Loading the set onto moving trucks
Unload the set at our Scene Shop
Volunteers are needed to:
help load set pieces, costumes, props, and other items onto moving trucks.
pack up all show materials
We’ll have pizza and snacks for all volunteers.

Set Load In - 1776
Join Theatre Huntsville for Phase 2 of our set load in for 1776 at the Von Braun Center Playhouse.
WHAT WE’RE DOING:
Loading the set for 1776 onto the stage at the VBC Playhouse
Volunteers are needed to:
help unload set pieces, costumes, props, and other items
build the set on the stage of the VBC Playhouse
We’ll have coffee and donuts in the morning and pizza for lunch.

Packing up all the set pieces, props, and costumes onto our moving truck in preparation for moving into the Von Braun Center Playhouse on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
