Secrets, Sisters, and a Little Bit of Murder
Announcing Theatre Huntsville’s 2026-27 Season
Some seasons whisper.
This one winks, locks the door, and asks you how you feel about murder on a train.
Our upcoming season is packed with stories where nothing is quite what it seems—identities are hidden, secrets are spilled, strangers become family, and yes… occasionally someone gets dramatically murdered.
From laugh-out-loud comedy to heart-swelling music, this season is all about unexpected connections and the moments that change everything.
Here’s a peek at what’s coming your way.
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors
By Gordon Greenberg & Steve Rosen
Dates: September 18 - 27, 2026
The classic vampire tale—if the classics were fast, furious, ridiculous, and wildly funny.
This gender-bending, lightning-paced romp turns Gothic horror into high comedy, proving that even the Prince of Darkness has a few secrets left to reveal.
Equal parts clever and chaotic, this is Dracula like you’ve never seen him before (and honestly, thank goodness).
Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley
By Lauren Gunderson & Margot Melcon
Dates: November 13 - 22, 2026
Everyone knows Elizabeth Bennet’s story, but what about the sisters who usually get pushed to the background?
This charming, heartfelt holiday play brings Georgiana Darcy and Kitty Bennet to center stage, giving them romance, agency, and a second chance at happiness.
It’s festive, funny, and filled with the kind of hope that only a Jane Austen–inspired Christmas can deliver.
Come From Away
Book, Music & Lyrics by Irene Sankoff & David Hein
Dates: January 22 - February 7, 2027
Based on true events, Come From Away tells the extraordinary story of a small town that welcomed the world during one of its darkest moments.
Strangers become neighbors, fear gives way to kindness, and humanity shows up when it’s needed most.
Uplifting, moving, and unforgettable, this musical reminds us that community can appear in the most unexpected places.
Murder on the Orient Express
By Ken Ludwig
Dates: April 2 - 11, 2027
A luxurious train. A snowdrift. A murder. And twelve suspects who all have something to hide.
Agatha Christie’s iconic mystery comes to life in this stylish, suspenseful adaptation where secrets pile up faster than the bodies (okay, body—mostly).
It’s smart, thrilling, and guaranteed to keep you guessing until the very last reveal.
Sister Act: The Musical
Music by Alan Menken | Book by Cheri & Bill Steinkellner | Lyrics by Glenn Slater
Dates: June 11 - 27, 2027
When a disco diva witnesses a crime, she’s sent into hiding in the last place anyone would expect: a convent.
What follows is a joyous, high-energy musical filled with soul, sisterhood, and show-stopping numbers.
Sister Act is a celebration of friendship, finding your voice, and discovering that family can come in many forms, sometimes wearing habits.
One Season. So Many Secrets.
This season brings together comedies, classics, and crowd-pleasing musicals—all tied by stories of hidden truths, unlikely bonds, and people discovering where they truly belong.
Whether you love a good mystery, a big musical moment, or a comedy that knows exactly how ridiculous it is, something is waiting for you here.
Mark your calendars, tell your friends, and get ready for a season full of secrets, sisters, and just a little bit of murder.
Stay tuned for season tickets, auditions, and special events; this is one season you won’t want to miss.
