Sewing Workshop Series: Regency Gowns Part 2

Are you an aspiring seamstress and costumier? Got a sewing machine sitting around and want to build your skills to help with local theater costuming? We’ve got the perfect workshop for you!

Stephanie Hyatt, Theatre Huntsville's costumer for our Pemberley plays, will teach a 4-week workshop where you will help create costumes for this season's The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley.

September 28th class focus: Finish Regency gown by constructing bodice, inserting zipper, hemming, and adding trim.

In the workshop series you will learn how to:

  • Size and cut a pattern

  • Construct a period dress

  • Insert a zipper

  • Create button holes

  • Finish garments with hems and trim

Workshop dates - participants are asked to attend all 4 workshops in the series:

  • September 21 & 28

  • October 12 & 19

What to Bring:

  • Sewing machine (if you have one)

  • Don’t have a sewing machine? Email us about borrowing one.

Cost:

This workshop series is free to attend.

How to Register:

All participants must register in advance and are asked to attend the full series of 4 workshops.
